May is always a good month. The weather is warmer, Mother’s Day is in May and school lets out for the summer. I do believe a lot of people appreciate May. I especially appreciate the books this month. I have been ready these books for quite some time.

The challenge for this month is easy:

A book with a color in the title.

My challenge book is: The Color Purple by Alice Walker.

I mean, I had to pick this book. I have never read it or seen the movie and I heard it’s a classic so here I am. I can’t wait to get started.

My sequel book of the month is: Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. The first one was really good. I would say it was a cross between Game of Thrones and The Mortal Instruments series. It left on a really big cliff hanger so it’ll be nice to finish the duo.

My classic pick of the month is: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I just found out what this book was about last year. I had never known what the premise was until my friend Reagan told me. It sounds right up my alley.

And last, but not least, my for fun read is: One For the Money by Janet Evanovich. I was told this was a funny book, also recommended to me by Reagan. I don’t read many comedies so I’m looking forward to this one. I’ve also noticed I’ve been reading a lot of Reagan recommendations lately.

There ya go! What is your challenge books for this month?

  1. This is such a fun, unique challenge!

You’re the second person who has mentioned The Color Purple recently—I have got to read it now! Can’t wait to hear how you like it. I loveeed Farenheit 451. It is creepy how close to recent days It is in some way- I always think about the “seashells” in the wifes ears and how we have ear pods now a day. Curious to hear your thoughts!
