Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Okay so you can probably guess what happened. I couldn’t finish this one. I got about halfway through the first part of the novel then stopped. I just didn’t like it so I wasn’t going to make myself push through it. 1/5
Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card
I loved this one. It was so good, now I see why so many people love this book. I can’t wait to read the other three. I’m not even a SciFi fan and I liked this one. I almost gave up on it though. The beginning was slow for me. I just didn’t care about all the stuff he was doing in Battle school but then he starts getting saucy with his teachers so then I finally got into it. Ender is so smart and I really like him, I’m very interested to see what happens as the series progresses. I did want to see a war between him and his brother, Peter. Maybe I’ll get my wish in the other books. 5/5
Cold as Ice by Lee Weeks
I pretty much figured out who the killer was as soon as he came on the scene. But I also read a lot of books and listen to a lot of podcasts and watch a lot of documentaries on the subject of serial killers. I should probably go to school for criminal psychology… This was a good sequel. It was actually more gruesome than I thought it would be. The suspense was good, the plot was there. I really liked it. I plan to read the third one soon, probably at the end of next month. I do recommend this series, it’s British so that adds something as well. I give it a solid 4/5.
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
This was another one I could just not get into. I don’t know what it is with me this month but I have just been re-shelving books. Maybe I’m just feeling overwhelmed with everything going on right now. Maybe next month will be better.
I hope your month has been better than mine with reading.
Good luck with your reading! ‘Emma’ might be a easier story to get into if you’re still interested in Jane Austen books 🙂

I haven’t read any of those books yet so thanks for the info. I’ve been traveling this last 3 weeks so haven’t had a lot of time for blogging or reading. I need to do some catching up on both.

My whole year of reading has been a disappointment! I can’t seem to get anything.

I used to just push through but I’m not doing that anymore. I don’t want reading to be a chore, ya know? Sometimes we’re just in the mood for a specific genre and others just don’t do it for us.
